Hi There Ya’ll. How’s it going? Would you agree when you are blogging, you learn a thing or two everyday. For me, there have been so many new terms that I came across while cooking and blogging, it’s amazing! For instance, I had no idea that a lava flow smoothie like thing existed, until I came across one.

It was a light bulb moment when I was hanging out with a friend at a local restaurant on one of the hot summer days. She ordered Hawaiian style strawberry Mango Lava Flow Smoothie. It looked so beautiful. I ordered the same and boy oh boy, was it one of the most delicious drinks I’ve ever had! I am now hooked.

Since I can’t go to the restaurant whenever I crave this beautiful looking, super delicious smoothie (it’s not economical plus it would be weird going there almost everyday :)), I decided to make a homemade version.

Strawberry Mango Lava Flow Smoothie

A perfect drink for summers, this Strawberry Banana Mango Lava Flow Smoothie is easy to make and is quite refreshing. It’s very healthy and tastes wonderful. This tropical smoothie can also be made with pineapple instead of mango. I do not like to add sugar to my smoothies, but if you like your smoothie on the sweeter side, you can add sugar or honey. You can also use Vanilla Greek Yogurt instead of plain Greek Yogurt to add a little bit of vanilla flavor.

I love how cool this smoothie looks. The bottom red portion is the fresh pureed strawberries. It gives this smoothie the bright color and delicious strawberry flavor. The light portion on top is frozen banana, frozen mango, coconut milk and Greek yogurt. This portion adds to the sweetness of this smoothie.

Strawberry Mango Lava Flow Smoothie Recipe

This strawberry mango lava flow smoothie is a delicious blend of strawberries, banana and mango. This tropical smoothie is healthy and tastes wonderful.

Ingredients

  • 5 Strawberries cored
  • 1 Banana sliced
  • 1 cup Mango frozen or fresh, cubes
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 1/2 Greek Yogurt

Instructions

  1. Place strawberries in blender. Puree until smooth. Pour in two glasses until 1/4th of the glasses is filled.

  2. Wash the blender. Place rest of the ingredients in the blender. Blend until desired consistency reaches.

  3. Gently pour this part of smoothie on top of strawberry puree. Add a fancy straw and serve.
