Smoothies have become such essential part of my morning routine. Like most of you, mornings are my busiest time of the day. They are such a convenient and healthy alternative to eating breakfast. Plus you can get the much needed nutrients for the day with one full glass.
Right now I am loving my meal planner where I can plan out our family meals ahead of time. These smoothies are mostly planned for my breakfast or post workout routine. My mornings are the busiest. For that reason I prefer drinking smoothies. And when the smoothie provides you with much needed fiber and is energy packed I have to find an excuse to include it in my morning routine.
This combo of strawberry and banana, in addition to beet is delicious.
If you are still getting used to adding veggies to your smoothie and go for green smoothiesfinally, this one is a great beginners smoothie. Taste of beet is not that prominent, you will mostly taste strawberry and banana.

You will love adding beet to your smoothies. It is a great source of iron, is an anti inflammatory, cleanses the liver and helps purify blood. To make it even healthier, you can add ground flax. I used Greek Yogurt to make it thicker, if you want you can add coconut milk.
Strawberry Beet Smoothie Recipe
This strawberry beet smoothie is a great breakfast smoothie that is fiber rich and energy packed. Drink it up for breakfast or post workout routine.
- 3 cup strawberries fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup beets
- 1 banana
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp Honey
Combine all the ingredients in the blender and blend until desired consistency is formed.
