With the raise of hands, who loves mangoes? Bananas? I love both of these fruits, especially in summers but can eat them any time of the year. My sister on the other hand cannot stand mangoes. This was our childhood thing, and I still remember her shaking her head in a big NO whenever anyone asked if she wanted a mango.

Me on the other hand would be content knowing that she doesn’t want mangoes, that meant more for me! She still can’t stand it, and I’m not complaining. Right sista? Love ya

This super delicious creamy mango banana smoothie is a great summer drink, and I can’t have enough of it. I drink it couple of times in winters too, when it’s not too chilly and I just skip ice. Like, I just made it yesterday. It was a perfect day to drink this kind of smoothie where weather was in single lower digits.

Creamy Mango Banana Smoothie

This smoothie is a blend of the two most delicious fruits of all – bananas and mangoes. Thick and creamy smoothie that results from blending these two, plus addition of milk or yogurt makes it thicker, creamier and richer. Add a table spoon of honey if you want to make it sweeter. I sometimes skip milk and replace it with orange juice to get that mild tangy flavor. Mostly I like to make it with milk though. I had a hard time finding fresh mangoes in the stores this time around, so I tried something different. I picked up this mango pulp from my local store. This was my first time trying it, and I loved it. I have made this smoothie with frozen mango chunks many times, it tastes just the same as fresh mango. This mango pulp makes it equally good.

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 mango
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup walnuts optional


  1. Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until you reach desired consistency. Garnish with walnut pieces and rolled oats.
