Cabbage which is very rich in terms of potassium also contains minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphor and zinc which have vital importance on human health. A portion of cabbage supplies %91.7 of daily need of vitamin K of human body. Cabbage which is rich in terms of vitamin C has several benefits to the skin if consumed regularly. It slows down the aging process of the skin. It is also known that cabbage protects the eye health with the beta-carotene that it contains. However, in time, cabbage’s most known feature is helping and speeds up the process of losing weight. So, let’s prepare a smoothie by using cabbage in it.

Ingredients

  • Quarter of a cabbage
  • 1 pinch of spinach
  • 1 pinch of dill
  • 50 ml of carrot juice
  • 150 ml of fresh orange juice
  • 1 spoon of lime juice
  • 4 or 5 mint leaves

Instructions

  1. At first, you need to slice a cabbage into its quarters after you have scoured it well. Then chop up the quarter into little pieces before you put it in blender.

  2. Scour the spinach and dill very well. You would not your smoothie to contain dust in it. After scouring, chop up the spinach and the dill.

  3. Put 50ml of carrot juice, 150ml of fresh orange juice, four or five mint leaves and a spoon of lime juice in a blender and add the spinach, dill and the cabbage that you have chopped up. Mix all ingredients together.

  4. You can add some ice cubes in your drink in order to make it colder. If you will add ice cubes, make sure they are splintered well in order not to lose the proper consistence. Lastly, put your drink in a big glass and garnish it with some mint leaves and a slice of orange then your cabbage smoothie recipe is ready.
