It smells like lemon or orange rind but it does not contain water as much as other citrus fruits. Because of this, Buddha’s hand is used in salads, ice creams, cakes or flavoring due to its nice smell. It is rich in terms of vitamin C like the other citrus fruits. So it is very effective on being sick. And also, with the high amount of antioxidant in its content, it is a body protective nutrition. So, why do not use this interesting looking fruit in a smoothie? Here is the Buddha’s hand smoothie recipe.

Ingredients
  • 2 or 3 fingers of Buddha’s hand
  • 200ml orange juice
  • 1 tea spoon of lime juice
  • 1 pinch of parsleys
  • 1 or 2 mint leaves
  • 1 glass of half skimmed cow milk
Instructions
  1. Peel of the Buddha’s hand’s fingers and slice them into little pieces after you have scoured them. Let them wait in the fridge to cool them down or directly put them in the freezer. 

  2. Put 200ml orange juice, a pinch of parsleys, mint leaves and a glass of half skimmed cow milk in a blender and add the lime juice. 

  3. Add the frozen Buddha’s hand slices into the blender and mix all ingredients. 

  4. In order to obtain a less intense drink, you can add some ice cubes and mix your drink for the last time. 

  5. Put the mix you prepared in a big glass and your Buddha’s Hand Smoothie Recipe is ready.
