Junk Food Cause Junk Brain

They who have entered elderly age must alert for junk food. Mostly known that kind of food is the cause of metabolic syndrome. But who suspect that junk food effect can have the impact on elderly brain capability.

Recent research shows that junk food consumption can damage brain nerve cell. Using mouse as experiment, scientist from Karolinska Institute, Swedia, said that damage made from junk food is resemble to Alzheimer disease.

Alzheimer is no cure disease. Almost 60% elderly senility cases or demensia come from this disease. In her research, Akterin study gene variant or apE4 protein that usually found about 15% - 20% Alzheimer factor. Those gene act as body cholesterol transportation system.Beside that, research shows that junk food's cholesterol can reduce amount of protein called Arc. Protein helps brain recall ability.

Akterin said that eats a lot of junk food, can become junk brain. High amount of fat can make bad influence to brain synaps. Synaps is the one that connect brain neuron. That is important to study and recall ability. To make healthy synaps, eat salmon fish, kiwi fruit, and all food contain omega-3 fat acid.

Other tips to prevent dotage is to exercise to reduce body tension, pump more energy to brain. Those activity also discharge chemical material to strengthen neuron. 30 minutes per day is enough.

Other thing that is not less important is brain training. Solve crossword puzzle or playing memory games can also prevent dotage. Those activity stimulate brain so human use it and not lazy to think.
